Like we are going to do away with using Petroleum in our cars? Give me a break. Oil runs the World. The investment money made from Oil companies is tremendous. Stop blaming the Republicans and the OPEC Nations for the issue with the high cost of gas. It's the big 3, GM, Ford, and Chrysler. I think you missed the point, they were reffering to hugo Chavez.
Oil-producing nations include Iran and Venezuela, neither of which has any particular affection for the United States. Oil companies are getting record profits, while failing to invest in new exploration in areas where they already hold leases, and executives of those companies are doing nothing to add to refinery capacity.





It's true that the Big Three have been building inefficient vehicles, but America's artificially low gas prices made those vehicles appealing.





At this stage, the U.S. can't afford another eight years of GOP incompetence.
This is great..I wonder how many people are actually old enough to remember that the gov't has been going on about oil prices and dependency since I can remember at least the late early 70s.


All this talk about oil prices and how they are all going to fix it is a load of crap. They have no intention what so ever to do anything about it...the only thing they are going to do is dictate how we live and come up with new ways to create revenue.
