In 2006 when the democrats took contol in congress, oil was priced at $65 to $70 a barrel.?

Now the price has nearly doubled. Yet congress seems to spend more time on steroids in sports than it does on problems more important to everyday americans. Any thoughts on this ?In 2006 when the democrats took contol in congress, oil was priced at $65 to $70 a barrel.?
Do you know any congressmen that can't afford $4.00 / gal gasoline. The only way you can get them to act is on election day. Vote them out until we get somebody that will be for what is best for the country, not what is best for the congress. We must put a stop to the Merchantile traders bidding up the price of oil. Congress gave them the authority, Congress has to take it away. Perfect example was Enron. Oil coming out of the wells in Texas sells for $30.00 a barrell. After the Merchantile traders get finished it is $120.00 per barrell. Guess who gets most of the difference. The trader. They should be called Traitors. In 2006 when the democrats took contol in congress, oil was priced at $65 to $70 a barrel.?
Congress has very little influence on the price of oil.
