Oil? when will the price go down?

New oil fields are being discovered all the time; Brazil just found a HUGE new field. Concerning the price with US oil, I'd say the price will fluctuate some, especially considering two new oil fields discovered in the Dakota's. These new fields and maybe even the addition of the ANWAR field will drive supply through the roof, thereby decreasing price. But, oil is a fossil fuel, and is finite by definition. So ultimately we'll end up paying thru the nose for the last few drops... although that won't be in any of our lifetimes..Oil? when will the price go down?
when we all are on welfare.Oil? when will the price go down?
When we tell the environmental radicals to go piss up a rope, build refineries, and drill for our own oil.
It might go down a bit for a while... but it won't last. If we haven't reached peak oil production yet we will very soon. There will come a day in the next few years where oil prices will just keep going up and never come down, and there won't be enough to go around since we have already consumed half of all of the oil that will ever be consumed. I know that it doesn't sound too bad when I say that half of it is left, but we have to remember that we keep using more oil and if production goes down there will be massive, worldwide energy shortages.

Have a nice day now!

Edit: Pllt404: Unless you're assuming everyone here is going to die in the next decade or so, you are mistaken. We don't have to wait for ';the last few drops'; before a shortage becomes a major problem. It will be a problem as soon as oil production goes down during a year.
soon.
Probably never, if you are talking about a big fall.
Probably when our government becomes smaller. We have too much government, but not enough brain power. I think we should all flood emails or faxes to senators, governors, and representatives telling them that we are all fed up with high prices no only on gas, but on food too.
Probly never....people dont even take care of gas. i see young kids speeding in their cars like their life depended on it. It sucks, its like as much as you tell people to take care of gas and limit your trips and blah blah blah. they dont listen. i know you asked about oil, but im assuming that your saying this in reference to gas. might be wrong but hopefully they can start educating younger kids on certain things. I live in a border town in texas. It makes me so angry to see people from Mexico driving in their smokey cars with no insurance. a little out of the point of view but just a thought!!
Never they have us right where they want us.
