Depends on what the US dollar does.
It is pretty impossible to predict what oil will do since it is hard to predict what actions wil occur that will influence the dollar.
If the US dollar goes up, oil prices will go down.
The only way to bring them down by drilling more, is to glut the market, and if the middle east all of a suddenly is stabalized and the value of the dollar goes up, you are looking at bad effects on the economy. What will the price of US gas and oil be by 2008 year end? will it be 7 per gallon as some experts say?
it will be what ever it will be, and that is how it works. if you want the price to drop get the government at all levels to lower or eliminate the taxes they impose on gas, then we can all start to complain about the poor state of the roads, but be happy with lower gas prices.
If any of these porcupines knew the answer to that question, they'd be making millions off the futures market going either long or short. But they don't, which means they're only venting. One thing's for certain: we need to diversify our energy supply away from hydrocarbons. That must've been what Dickless Cheney was trying to do with his secret energy meetings back in '01, wink-wink, nod-nod.
The experts have been wrong on every account, maybe they're using this administrations experts?
They said we would have hundred dollar a barrel oil by summer.
8 dollars a gallon, $200 a barrel is projected price by Obama 08.
Only if the Dems get their way and this makes Bush look bad again so they can gain power then do their usual nothing but tax and spend plan.
Drill now drill everywhere plus work on alternatives this is the solution and should seem obvious.
It SHOULD drop, summer's supposed to be the most expensive time of the year. I doubt it, though. Hopefully it won't increase much past 150/barrel.
well at current free market profit gouging yes 7.00 that is what I heard as well but add invasion IRAN to the mix and it goes THREW THE ROOF.
What that will really be
is a clear indication of just how weak the Dollar
has become.
